Dr. Lamont Colucci
Director, Professor of Political Science
Dr. Lamont Colucci is the inaugural Director of Doctrine Development for the United States Space Force. He has experience as a diplomat with the U.S. Dept. of State and is today a Full Professor of Political Science at Concordia University.
His primary area of expertise is United States national security and United States foreign policy. He teaches national security, foreign policy, intelligence, terrorism, and international relations courses. He has published three books as the sole author, including: Crusading Realism: The Bush Doctrine and American Core Values After 9/11; a two-volume series entitled The National Security Doctrines of the American Presidency: How they Shape our Present and Future and The International Relations of the Bible. He was a contributing author of two books, entitled, The Day That Changed Everything: Looking at the Impact of 9/11 at the End of the Decade and Homeland Security and Intelligence. His latest book, U.S. Space Force: Grand Strategy, and United States National Security, was published in December 2022.
In 2012, he became the Fulbright Scholar in Residence at the Diplomatic Academy in Vienna, Austria. He has undergraduate and graduate degrees from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a doctorate in politics from the University of London, England. In 2007 he received Ripon College's Severy Excellence in Teaching Award, and in 2010, the Underkofler Outstanding Teaching Award. In 2015 he received the National Significant Sig award of the Sigma Chi Fraternity. Dr. Colucci is a substantial contributor to United States Air Force/Space Command/ Space Force publications and conferences concerning space strategy. Dr. Colucci is also an occasional columnist for the Washington Times, National Review, Washington Examiner/Weekly Standard, The Hill, U.S. News and World Report, and Defense News. In addition, he is a bi-monthly columnist for Newsmax.
Dr. Colucci is also a Senior Fellow in National Security Affairs at the American Foreign Policy Council, and Senior Advisor in National Security for Contingent Security. In addition, he is a National Security and Foreign Affairs advisor to the NATO-oriented Conference of Defence Associations Institute. Dr. Colucci also teaches in the graduate program in intelligence and security at American Military University. Dr. Colucci is the co-founder and CEO of Space Fund Intelligence. He served as the founding interim Director of the Center for Politics at Ripon College. In 2018 he was appointed to the National Task Force on National and Homeland Security.
Alyssa Giese

Alyssa Giese is pursuing a Secondary Education: Broad Field Social Studies undergraduate degree, with a Lutheran Teacher Diploma. In her free time, she enjoys researching classical education and political science. Alyssa also is the Vice President of Philosophy Club, on the Executive Board of a YAF chapter, a member of 91自拍’s Action Shooting team, and works in Concordia’s International Admissions office.

In his time at Concordia, Yannik Gruner has not only set himself apart as an exemplary scholar, he has made a point of getting involved in as many on-campus groups as possible. He was a member of the Falcons football team, served as an Assistant Resident Director, and was elected as Student Government Association President.
