Benjamin A Gilman Scholarship

The Gilman Scholarship Program aims to diversify the kinds of students who study and intern abroad and the countries and regions where they go by offering awards to U.S. undergraduates who might otherwise not participate due to financial constraints. All eligible students are encouraged to apply. To be eligible, you must be a Pell Grant recipient and be planning to study abroad for at least 28 days in a particular country.

One-third of students who apply are awarded the scholarship, and the average award amount is $4,000! It is definitely worth applying.

Applications for Spring and Summer programs are due on the first Tuesday of October.

Applications for Fall and Academic-Year programs are due the first Tuesday of March.

Fulbright U.S. Student Program

The Fulbright program, the largest U.S. international exchange program, offers opportunities for students in graduate study, advanced research, university teaching, and teaching in elementary and secondary schools worldwide. Students must have a B.A. or equivalent before the start of the grant and should have sufficient proficiency in the written and spoken language of the host country.

Program provider scholarships

Concordia's program partners like API, TEAN, ISA, Veritas and Semester at Sea together and individually give away millions of dollars a year to students in the form of scholarships. Scholarships can range from a couple hundred dollars to full-tuition! Explore the scholarship pages of our program providers for more information.
